Returning to Routine After a Vacation

???? Returning to Routine After a Vacation in London: My Struggle with Pain and Anxiety ????

I recently returned from an amazing trip to London, but now that I’m back home, I’m struggling to get back into my normal routine. It’s been difficult to adjust back into my regular sleeping schedule. On top of that, I’ve been dealing with pain and anxiety, which have been exacerbated by the stress of travel. Or to be accurate – by the stress of returning.

London was such an incredible experience. I loved exploring the city, trying new things, and watching plays. But now that I’m back home, I find myself feeling overwhelmed by the thought of returning to work and my daily responsibilities. It’s like my brain is still on vacation mode, and it’s hard to focus on anything else.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced since returning home has been managing my chronic pain. Traveling can be tough on the body, especially when you’re dealing with pre-existing conditions like mine. While in London, I tried my best to take care of myself and take breaks when needed, I also “cut myself some slack” when it comes to working out or taking painkillers. But now that I’m back home, it feels like all of that progress has been undone.

In addition to physical pain, I’ve also been struggling with anxiety. The stress of travel can be overwhelming for anyone, but for me it’s especially challenging. I find myself worrying about everything from work deadlines to social obligations to the state of the world at large. It’s hard to quiet my mind and focus on the present moment.

Despite these challenges, I know that it’s important for me to get back into a routine as soon as possible. While it may feel overwhelming at first, having structure in my day-to-day life will ultimately help me manage my pain and anxiety more effectively. To achieve this goal, I’m taking small steps each day – whether that means going for a walk outside or forcing myself to take time for self-care.

Returning from vacation is always tough, but it can be especially challenging when you’re dealing with chronic pain and anxiety. However, by taking things one step at a time and being gentle with ourselves along the way, we can make the transition back into routine a little bit easier.
